WORK OF THE POLICE WITH SENSITIVE SOCIAL GROUP

Ministry of the Interior (MI) of Montenegro and the Council for the civic control of the work of police have jointly published a book: "Police integrity from the perspective of sensitive social groups: Practical guidebook for the work of police with the sensitive and marginalized social groups".

Through the cooperation of the professionals from the police and implementing representatives from the civil society, a practical education material has been created in the manner to help the police officers in their everyday roles, obligations and tasks within their everyday professional communication with the social groups.

Practical guide has been prepared through the cooperation and the partnership of the civil society: "SOS telephone for the women and children victims of violence Podgorica", "Association of the youth with disability of Montenegro", "Human rights action", "Women's' rights centre", "Civic alliance", "Montenegro women's lobby", "Centre for security, sociological and criminal research of Montenegro - Defendology", "For Life" and "LGBTIQ Social Centre".

The authors of the practical guide are:  mr Slavko Milic, Biljana Zekovic, Maja Raicevic, mr Tea Gorjanc Prelevic, Mirjana Radovic, Marina Vujacic, Miroslava Ivanovic, Milan Radovic, mr Milena Mijovic, Zoran Vujacic, Aida Petrovic, Elmir Djoković, Dragana Babovic i mr Aleksandar Sasa Zekovic.

The Council for civic control of the work of police expresses its gratitude to the non-governmental organizations, as well as authors, which supported this joint initiative, recognized the significance of the police education and expresses a partner relationship as well as to the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro.
 
The publishers and NGO partners believe that through this practical guidebook can expand the views on justified and professional acting and increase the overall matters of integrity of the police. The support of the surrounding to which the police serves is of key importance for the process of the putting into function of all of the legal functions of the police.

The editor of the guidebook is mr Aleksandar Sasa Zekovic.
